I grew up in a little town called Beltsville, Maryland, it's near Washington D.C., kinda. Despite living 5 minutes down the street from the College Park campus, I decided to go to the University of Maryland in Baltimore, receiving my Bachelor in Visual Arts and later my Masters in 3d Animation at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia.
I love painting, mostly watercolor, although I'm not very good at it. I'm a helpless romantic, and a sucker for almost anything on the History Channel. I have a particularly soft spot for flawed characters, sad endings, and horrific tales. I'm a compulsive doodler, hoarder of cute pens and pencils, and will buy anything with the word 'dream' on it. I also have an unhealthy obsession with Totoro, feathers, tattoos, and old books.
LA doesn't offer much as far as precipitation goes, but on the off chance mother nature is feeling generous, I'll be the maniac out front of my apartment building in rain boots and jumping in puddles. I occupy a tiny little one bedroom apartment in Koreatown with my husband, Frank, and our spoiled rotten fur child, Mika.
Just like every artist, I have about 15 different passions, of which I switch between on a constant basis. Right now I'm trying my hand at writing. And what better way to break into that than with a blog? Here you'll find all my adventures as I embark down yet another path in my life. Let's see where this one takes me.
